Pork Chop

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Pork Chop

Pat the pork chop dry with paper towels. Rub the olive oil all over the pork chop, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh thyme on both sides.

Grilling

  1. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).

  2. 3

    Grill the Pork Chop

Place the seasoned pork chop on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on one side without moving it, until nice grill marks appear.

  3. 4

    Flip and Continue Cooking

Flip the pork chop and continue grilling for another 6-7 minutes on the other side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) for medium doneness.

Resting

  1. 5

    Let it Rest

Remove the pork chop from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute.
