Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, slightly larger than the size of the buns.

Cook the Bacon and Patties

  1. 3

    Cook Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

In the same skillet, using the bacon drippings, cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

After flipping, place one slice of cheddar cheese and one slice of Swiss cheese on each patty. Cook for another 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the burgers are cooked to your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare Buns

Toast the burger buns lightly in the skillet or in a toaster.

  2. 7

    Layer Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, spread ketchup and mustard. Place the cooked burger patty on top, followed by bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles.

  3. 8

    Complete Assembly

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
