Prepare the Hominy
Rinse the dried hominy under cold water and soak it in a large bowl of water overnight.

Cook the Pork
In a large pot, combine the diced pork shoulder, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Add the soaked hominy and chicken broth. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

Season the Stew
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low. Stir in cumin, oregano, red chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Cover and let it simmer for about 2 hours, or until the pork is tender.

Serve the Pozole
Ladle the pozole into bowls and serve hot with lime wedges, sliced avocado, radish, and shredded cabbage on the side for garnishing.
