Chips
Method
Preparation
- 1
Cut Tortillas
Stack the corn tortillas and cut them into quarters to create triangle-shaped chips.
- 2
Heat Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 3
Fry Chips
Carefully add a few tortilla triangles to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
- 4
Drain and Season
Using a slotted spoon, remove the chips from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. While still hot, sprinkle with salt.
- 5
Repeat
Repeat the frying process with the remaining tortilla triangles until all chips are cooked.
