Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the sirloin steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, then season generously with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Pan

Heat a cast-iron skillet or heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat until it is very hot.

  4. 4

    Sear the Steaks

Add the steaks to the hot pan. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them, until a golden-brown crust forms.

  5. 5

    Flip and Add Flavor

Flip the steaks and add crushed garlic and fresh herbs to the pan. Cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting the time to your preferred doneness.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
