Preparation

Cocktail

1. Prepare

Chill a martini/coupe glass by placing it in the freezer or filling with ice water while you build the drink.

2. Dry shake (if using egg white)

In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, passion fruit purée, orange bitters, and egg white (if using). Seal and shake vigorously without ice for 15–20 seconds to emulsify and create foam.

3. Wet shake

Add ice cubes to the shaker. Shake hard for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch and the mixture is well-chilled and slightly frothy.

4. Strain

Discard ice from the chilled glass (if used). Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled martini or coupe glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards and fruit pulp for a silky texture.

Garnish & Finish

5. Float or place a starfruit slice or half passion fruit on top of the foam. If using edible glitter or gold dust, very lightly dust the surface for a sparkle effect. Express the lemon twist over the drink (pinch to release oils) and drop it gently into the glass or rest on the rim.

6. Serve immediately with a small napkin or coaster. Advise the drinker to enjoy the aroma first, then sip to appreciate the layered floral, citrus, and passion fruit flavors.
