Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags and discard them.

Flavoring the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Flavorings

If desired, stir in 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of sugar or honey into the warm tea. Adjust sweetness to taste.

  2. 5

    Add Mint

For an extra refreshing flavor, add about 10 mint leaves to the tea. Gently bruise the mint leaves before adding them for better flavor release.

Serving

  1. 6

    Prepare Glasses

Fill glasses with ice cubes (about 1 cup per glass) to chill the tea.

  2. 7

    Pour Tea

Pour the brewed tea over the ice cubes in each glass.

  3. 8

    Garnish

Garnish with a lemon slice and an additional mint leaf if desired.
