Method
Salad Preparation
- 1
Cook the Chicken
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Cook for 6-8 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
- 2
Prepare the Romaine
Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly and dry it using a salad spinner or paper towels. Tear or chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.
- 3
Slice the Chicken
After the chicken has rested, slice it into thin strips. Add the sliced chicken on top of the romaine lettuce in the salad bowl.
- 4
Add Dressing and Cheese
Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine. Sprinkle the shredded Parmesan cheese on top.
Crouton Preparation
- 5
Prepare the Croutons
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the French bread into small cubes (about 1-inch pieces).
- 6
Season and Bake
In a large bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated. Spread the croutons in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- 7
Bake the Croutons
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the croutons are golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
