Cooking the Rice

Making the Picadillo

Sauté the Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and red bell pepper. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the Remaining Ingredients
Stir in the tomato sauce, soy sauce, cumin, paprika, oregano, green olives, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Assemble the Dish
Serve the Picadillo over a bed of rice, and top with pickled onions and pickled peppers.
