Base Layer

Mascarpone Cream

Method

Base Layer

  1. 1

    Prepare Coffee Mixture

Brew 1 cup of strong espresso and let it cool slightly. Mix in 2 tablespoons of coffee liqueur.

  2. 2

    Soak Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger cookie into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Arrange them in a single layer at the bottom of serving cups.

Mascarpone Cream

  1. 3

    Whip Cream

In a mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.

  2. 4

    Mix Egg Yolk and Sugar

In another bowl, whisk together 3 egg yolks and 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar until pale and creamy.

  3. 5

    Combine Mascarpone

Add 500 grams of mascarpone cheese and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the egg yolk mixture. Mix until smooth and well combined.

  4. 6

    Fold in Whipped Cream

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated, being careful not to deflate the cream.

Assemble Tiramisu Cups

  1. 7

    Layer the Cream

Spoon a layer of the mascarpone cream over the soaked ladyfingers in each cup, smoothing it out with a spatula.

  2. 8

    Repeat Layers

Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by another layer of mascarpone cream.

  3. 9

    Chill

Cover the cups with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.

Topping

  1. 10

    Dust with Cocoa

Before serving, dust the top of each tiramisu cup with 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder.

  2. 11

    Garnish

Add dark chocolate shavings on top for additional decoration.
