Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

Mix Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.

Form Meatballs
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake Meatballs
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.
Garlic Basil Oil

Prepare Oil
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, and chopped fresh basil until well blended.
Sandwich Assembly

Prepare Roll
Slice the 12-inch seeded roll in half lengthwise.

Assemble Sandwich
Spread the garlic basil oil on both halves of the roll. Place the cooked meatballs on the bottom half, then top with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.

Melt Cheese
Place the assembled sandwich on a baking sheet and put it under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove the sandwich from the oven, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve hot.
