Tea Preparation

Method

Tea Brewing

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags and discard them. If you prefer sweetened tea, stir in the sweetener while the tea is still warm.

  4. 4

    Cool the Tea

Allow the brewed tea to cool at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes.

  5. 5

    Prepare Iced Tea

Fill a large glass or pitcher with 2 cups of ice. Pour the cooled black tea over the ice until you have a total of 16 ounces of iced tea.

  6. 6

    Garnish (optional)

Add lemon slices to the iced tea for a refreshing twist, if desired.
