Prepare the Seafood and Vegetables

Clean the Seafood
Rinse the calamari and shrimp under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels.

Prepare the Vegetables
Wash and slice the zucchini into thin rounds, slice the red bell pepper, and cut the carrot into thin strips.
Make the Batter

Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the rice flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.

Gradually whisk in the ice-cold water until the batter is smooth and has a consistency similar to heavy cream.
Prepare the Lemon Aioli

Combine Ingredients
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, minced garlic, and lemon juice.

Add salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well and refrigerate until serving.
Frying the Fritto Misto

Heat the Oil
In a large, deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat to 180°C (356°F).

Batter the Seafood and Vegetables
Dip the calamari, shrimp, zucchini, bell pepper, and carrot into the batter, ensuring they are well coated.

Carefully drop the battered seafood and vegetables into the hot oil, frying them in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
