Meatballs

Method

Meatballs Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Meatball Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Meatballs

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Once the mixture is ready, shape it into meatballs, approximately 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Bake the Meatballs

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.

Assembling the Dish

  1. 4

    Prepare the Sauce

While the meatballs are baking, heat the tomato sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.

  2. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Once the meatballs are done baking, remove them from the oven and place them in a baking dish. Pour the warmed tomato sauce over the meatballs.

  3. 6

    Add Toppings

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices on top of the meatballs and sauce. Dollop ricotta cheese on top of everything.

  4. 7

    Final Bake

Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

  5. 8

    Drizzle with Honey

Once out of the oven, drizzle the spicy honey over the top of the meatball dish for a sweet and spicy finish.
