Assembly

Method

Fried Salmon

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Fry the Salmon

Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the seasoned salmon fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.

Avocado

  1. 3

    Prepare the Avocado

Slice the ripe avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocados with a fork, add lime juice and salt to taste, and mix until creamy.

Spice Mayo

  1. 4

    Mix the Spice Mayo

In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, garlic powder, lime zest, and salt. Stir until well blended and adjust the seasoning to taste.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Cook Sushi Rice

Rinse sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook according to package instructions, then let it cool slightly.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Nori

Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a small border at the top.

  3. 7

    Add Fillings

Layer the fried salmon, mashed avocado, and thinly sliced cucumber on top of the rice.

  4. 8

    Roll the Sushi

Starting from the bottom edge of the mat, roll the nori tightly over the fillings, pressing gently to form a roll. Use water to seal the edge of the nori.

  5. 9

    Slice and Serve

Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into bite-sized pieces. Serve with the spice mayo on the side for dipping.
