Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sushi Rice

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions. Once cooked, let it cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the rice is cooking, thinly slice the cucumber and avocado. Set aside. If using frozen edamame, cook them according to the package instructions and shell them.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Salmon

Season the salmon fillet with salt and pepper. Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Fry the salmon for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Deco Poke

In a bowl, start with a base of sushi rice. Arrange the sliced salmon, cucumber, edamame, and avocado on top of the rice. Drizzle with poke sauce and sprinkle sesame seeds over the top.

Serve

  1. 5

    Serve the Deco Poke

Serve immediately while the salmon is still warm. Enjoy your Deco Poke!
