Pita Chips

Method

Preparing the Pita Chips

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This temperature will ensure that the pita chips become crispy without burning.

  2. 2

    Cut the Pita Bread

Take the pita bread and cut each piece into 6 wedges, resembling pizza slices. This will give you the classic chip shape.

  3. 3

    Mix the Oil and Spices

In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, paprika, and black pepper. Mix well to create an even seasoning mixture.

  4. 4

    Coat the Pita Wedges

Place the pita wedges in a large bowl and drizzle the olive oil mixture over them. Toss gently to ensure that all the wedges are coated evenly.

  5. 5

    Arrange on a Baking Sheet

Spread the coated pita wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they are not overlapping to ensure even cooking.

  6. 6

    Bake the Chips

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the chips are golden brown and crispy. Keep a close eye on them to avoid burning.

  7. 7

    Cool and Serve

Once baked, remove the pita chips from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve them warm or at room temperature as a crunchy side.
