Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the onion, green bell pepper, and mushrooms thinly. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Meat

Season the thinly sliced ribeye steak with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Make sure the meat is evenly coated.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion, green bell pepper, and mushrooms. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened and lightly caramelized. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Cook the Steak

In the same skillet, add the seasoned ribeye steak. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until browned, stirring frequently. Ensure the steak is cooked through but still tender.

  3. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet with the steak. Mix well and cook for an additional 2 minutes to combine the flavors.

  4. 6

    Assemble the Cheesesteaks

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the hoagie rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through. Layer the steak and vegetable mixture inside each roll. Top with provolone cheese slices and drizzle Cheez Whiz over the top.

  5. 7

    Bake

Place the assembled cheesesteak loaves on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then cut each loaf into individual portions. Serve hot.
