Preparation

    Combine Water and Electrolytes

    In a large pitcher or mixing bowl, pour in the 12 cups of purified water.

    Add 0.5 tsp of sodium chloride, 0.25 tsp of potassium chloride, 0.2 tsp of calcium carbonate, and 0.1 tsp of magnesium sulfate into the water.

    Stir the mixture thoroughly until all the electrolytes are fully dissolved.

Flavoring (Optional)

    Add Flavoring

    If desired, add the 2 tbs of lemon juice and 2 tbs of lime juice to the electrolyte water mixture.

    Stir again to ensure that the flavorings are well incorporated.

Canning

    Can the Water

    Using a funnel, carefully pour the prepared water mixture into clean, sterilized cans or bottles.

    Seal the cans tightly to prevent any contamination.

Serving

    Chill and Serve

    Refrigerate the canned water for a few hours before serving for optimal refreshment.
