Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine and Knead

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms and knead for about 8-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 5

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 6

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to form an 11-inch pizza base.

  3. 7

    Transfer to Baking Sheet

Carefully transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. 8

    Add Nutella

Spread a generous layer of Nutella over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

  5. 9

    Bake the Pizza

Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

  6. 10

    Garnish

Remove the pizza from the oven, sprinkle powdered sugar and chopped hazelnuts over the top for added texture and flavor.

  7. 11

    Slice and Serve

Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes, then slice it into wedges and serve warm.
