Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 5 minutes.

Mix Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the cooked penne, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Pour the marinara sauce over the pasta mixture and stir until well combined.

Assemble the Dish
Transfer the pasta mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and the grated Parmesan cheese.

Bake
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
