Method

Cordial Preparation

1

Make the Lemon Cordial

In a medium saucepan, combine the lemon juice, sugar, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved. Once dissolved, bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes.

2

Cool the Cordial

Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the cordial to cool completely. Once cooled, transfer it to a jar or bottle and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill.

Assemble the Drink

3

Mix the Drink

In a large pitcher, combine the chilled lemon cordial with the sparkling water. Stir gently to mix the two together without losing the carbonation.

4

Serve the Drink

Pour the sparkling lemonade into glasses filled with ice. Garnish each glass with a slice of preserved lemon and a few fresh mint leaves for added flavor and presentation.
