Cocktail

1

Prepare glass

Chill a Collins glass or highball by filling it with ice and setting it aside while you prepare the drink (about 2–3 minutes). Empty the glass before building the cocktail if you prefer less dilution; otherwise leave some ice.

2

Combine grenadine and lemon

Add 0.5 oz grenadine and 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice to a mixing glass or small shaker. Stir or give 3 quick shakes to combine — the goal is to integrate the syrup and citrus, not to over-dilute.

3

Add ice and top with ginger ale

Fill the chilled serving glass with fresh ice (about 1 cup). Pour the grenadine-lemon mixture over the ice. Slowly top with 4 oz Olde Brooklyn ginger ale to preserve carbonation and create a gentle layered effect.

4

Gently stir and level

Using a bar spoon, gently stir once or twice to slightly integrate the ginger ale with the grenadine and lemon without flattening the fizz. Aim for an even color gradient while maintaining effervescence.

5

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a lemon wheel or twist on the rim and add a maraschino cherry if desired. Serve immediately with a straw or long spoon.
