Prepare Lemonade

Juice the Lemons
Roll the lemons on the countertop to soften them, then cut them in half and juice them into a measuring cup until you have about 1 cup of lemon juice.

Make Lemon Syrup
In a medium saucepan, combine the 1 cup of lemon juice with 2 cups of granulated sugar and 4 cups of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool.
Prepare Tea

Brew the Tea
In a separate container, steep 4 black tea bags in 4 cups of hot water for about 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
Mix and Serve

In a large gallon pitcher, combine the cooled lemon syrup and brewed tea. Stir well to mix.

Add an additional 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir to combine.
