Method

Preparation of Base Options

  1. 1

    Cook the Rice and Quinoa

Rinse the white and brown rice thoroughly. In a large pot, add 6 cups of water for white rice, 6 cups for brown rice, and 4 cups for quinoa. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cook white rice for 15 minutes, brown rice for 45 minutes, and quinoa for 15 minutes. Once done, fluff with a fork and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Lettuce

Wash and dry the lettuce mix. Tear into bite-sized pieces and place in a large serving bowl.

Preparation of Protein Options

  1. 3

    Cook the Proteins

Grill or sauté the chicken and beef strips until fully cooked, approximately 6-8 minutes for chicken and 4-6 minutes for beef. For tofu, sauté in olive oil until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and rinse the black beans, then warm them in a small pot over low heat for 5 minutes.

Preparation of Toppings

  1. 4

    Prepare the Toppings

Dice the tomatoes, slice the avocados, and chop the cilantro. Place each topping into separate serving bowls.

Preparation of Sauces

  1. 5

    Serve the Sauces

Measure out the salsa, guacamole, ranch dressing, and set out with the hot sauce. Make sure to have spoons for easy serving.

Setting Up the Bowl Bar

  1. 6

    Assemble the Bowl Bar

On a large table, arrange the base options (rice, quinoa, and lettuce) on one side. Next to them, place the protein options, followed by the toppings and sauces. Provide bowls and utensils for guests to build their own bowls.
