Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Sauté the Meat

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and pork, seasoning with salt and black pepper. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Aromatics

Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 3

    Incorporate Thyme

Stir in the fresh thyme and cook for another minute to release its aroma.

  4. 4

    Add Liquid Ingredients

Pour in the chicken broth, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Allow to cook for 10 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add Cream and Cheese

Stir in the heavy cream and grated Reggiano cheese, mixing until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy.

  6. 6

    Final Seasoning

Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper to taste. Allow the ragu to simmer for another 5 minutes to thicken slightly.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the white ragu over your favorite pasta or polenta, garnished with extra Reggiano cheese if desired.
