Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meatballs

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.

  2. 2

    Cook the Meatballs

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Make the Sauce

In the same skillet, add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add canned tomatoes and season with basil, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 10-15 minutes.

  4. 4

    Combine and Serve

Return the meatballs to the skillet with the sauce and let them simmer together for an additional 10 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain the spaghetti and serve with the meatballs and sauce on top.
