Method

Base Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and eggs until the mixture is smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.

  5. 5

    Bake the Base

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  6. 6

    Cool the Base

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Filling Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare Cream Cheese Filling

In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth using an electric mixer.

  2. 8

    Mix Ingredients

Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice to the cream cheese. Mix until well combined and fluffy.

  3. 9

    Spread Filling

Once the base is completely cool, spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the top.

Topping Preparation

  1. 10

    Whip the Cream

In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.

  2. 11

    Add Sugar

Add powdered sugar to the whipped cream and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.

  3. 12

    Add Berries

Gently fold in the fresh berries into the whipped cream.

  4. 13

    Top the Dessert

Spread the berry whipped cream topping over the cream cheese filling evenly.

Serving

  1. 14

    Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the dessert for at least 1 hour before serving. Cut into squares and serve chilled.
