Soft Drink Options (per serving)
Optional Serving Additions
Method
Preparing a Single Serving
- 1
- 2
Add ice
Place 3–6 ice cubes into a tall glass depending on preference and glass size. Use fewer cubes if you prefer more room for the liquid.
- 3
Pour chosen soda
Select one soft drink from the options (Sprite, Coke, Root Beer, Diet Coke, or Ginger Ale). Slowly pour 1 cup (approximately 240 ml) of the chosen soda into the glass over the ice to minimize foaming and overflow.
- 4
Garnish (optional)
If using, squeeze a lemon or lime wedge over the drink and drop it in. Add a maraschino cherry for classic presentation.
- 5
Serve
Insert a straw if desired and serve immediately while the soda is fizzy and cold.
Notes and Variations
- 6
To make a half-serving, use 1/2 cup (120 ml) of soda and 2–3 ice cubes. For a tall or large serving, increase to 1.5–2 cups (360–480 ml) and more ice as needed.

- 8
Diet Coke is a lower-calorie alternative but will have slightly different mouthfeel; serve the same way.
- 9
Store unopened cans or bottles in a cool, dry place. Once opened, consume within 24 hours for best carbonation (keep refrigerated).
