Millefoglie Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Puff Pastry

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 3mm thick. Cut into rectangles about 10x15 cm (4x6 inches). Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and prick the surface with a fork to prevent puffing. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crisp.

  2. 2

    Make the Chantilly Cream

In a large mixing bowl, whisk the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until soft peaks form. Be careful not to overbeat.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Millefoglie

Once the puff pastry layers have cooled, take one layer and spread a generous amount of chantilly cream on top. Add another layer of puff pastry and repeat the process until all layers are stacked. Finish with a layer of chantilly cream on top.

  4. 4

    Garnish and Serve

Dust the top with confectioner's sugar and garnish with fresh berries if desired. Slice and serve immediately.
