Caprese Salad Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Croutons

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the brick bread into small cubes and place them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.

  2. 2

    Slice the Tomatoes

While the croutons are baking, wash and slice the heirloom tomatoes into thick slices. Arrange them on a serving platter.

  3. 3

    Add the Burrata

Tear or cut the burrata cheese into pieces and scatter it over the sliced tomatoes.

  4. 4

    Add the Basil

Tear the fresh basil leaves and sprinkle them over the tomatoes and burrata.

  5. 5

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the remaining 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil over the salad. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Top with Croutons

Finish by adding the crispy brick croutons on top of the salad. Serve immediately and enjoy!
