Garnish & Rim

1

Prepare the glass

Chill a martini or coupe glass in the freezer or fill with ice water for a few minutes. Pour the granulated sugar onto a small plate. Run the lemon wedge around the rim of the chilled glass to moisten it evenly. Dip the moistened rim into the sugar, turning to coat the entire rim. Set the glass aside and discard the lemon wedge used for wetting.

Cocktail

2

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice (about 1 cup).

3

Add New Amsterdam Lemon Vodka (1.5 oz), Il Tramonto Limoncello (1 oz), Cointreau (0.5 oz), and fresh lemon juice (0.5 oz) to the shaker. If you prefer the drink a touch sweeter, add 0.25 oz simple syrup.

4

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and well-chilled.

5

Discard the ice (or water) from the chilled, sugar-rimmed glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass using a Hawthorne strainer and, if available, a fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards and citrus pulp.

6

Express a lemon twist over the drink by holding the twist over the surface and gently pinching to release the oils, then drop the twist into or place on the rim of the glass as a garnish.

7

Serve immediately and enjoy.
