Burger Patties

Toppings

Maple Dressing

Burger Buns

Method

Prepare the Maple Dressing

  1. 1

    Mix Dressing Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, mayonnaise, and apple cider vinegar until well combined. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Set aside.

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 2

    Mix Burger Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined; do not overwork the meat.

  2. 3

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into burger patties, slightly larger than the burger buns.

Cook the Bacon

  1. 4

    Cook Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

Cook the Burgers

  1. 5

    Blacken the Patties

In the same skillet used for the bacon, increase the heat to high. Add the burger patties and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness and have a blackened crust.

  2. 6

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, layer arugula, the blackened burger patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, and pickles. Drizzle with the prepared maple dressing and top with the other half of the bun.
