Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Make Dough

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Topping Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare Vegetables

While the dough is rising, slice the bell pepper, zucchini, red onion, and mushrooms. Wash and dry the spinach.

  2. 6

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced vegetables and cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Season with salt, pepper, and dried oregano.

Assembling the Pizza

  1. 7

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 8

    Roll Out Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

  3. 9

    Add Sauce and Toppings

Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the base, then layer the sautéed vegetables and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.

  4. 10

    Bake Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

  5. 11

    Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
