Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Use your hands to gently mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.

Cook the Patties

  1. 3

    Heat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness, or until desired doneness is reached.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 5

    Slice the Tomato

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato into thick rounds.

  2. 6

    Wash the Lettuce

Rinse the lettuce leaves under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Toast the Buns (optional)

If desired, toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 8

    Build the Burger

Spread the house sauce on the bottom half of each brioche bun. Place a cooked patty on each bun, then top with lettuce leaves and tomato slices. Finish by placing the top half of the bun on the burger.
