Prepare the Burger Patty

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Use your hands to gently mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.

Slice the Tomato
While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato into thick rounds.

Wash the Lettuce
Rinse the lettuce leaves under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
Assemble the Burger

Toast the Buns (optional)
If desired, toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Build the Burger
Spread the house sauce on the bottom half of each brioche bun. Place a cooked patty on each bun, then top with lettuce leaves and tomato slices. Finish by placing the top half of the bun on the burger.
