Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Whisk until well combined.

  2. 2

    Add Wet Ingredients

Slowly add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let the Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Topping and Baking

  1. 5

    Prepare the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. 6

    Prepare the Garlic Mixture

In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, salt, dried oregano, and olive oil. Mix well.

  3. 7

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to form a rectangle approximately 1/2 inch thick.

  4. 8

    Add Cheese and Garlic Topping

Spread the garlic mixture evenly over the dough. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan cheese on top.

  5. 9

    Cut into Strips

Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough into strips of desired width.

  6. 10

    Bake the Strips

Transfer the strips to a greased baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

  7. 11

    Garnish and Serve

Once baked, remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley (if using), and let cool slightly before serving.
