Pork Preparation
- 1
Season the Pork
In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this mixture all over the pork shoulder.

Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

Combine Sauce Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 4
Cook the BBQ Sauce
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes until thickened.
- 5

Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Mix the shredded pork with the prepared BBQ sauce.
