Method
Brisket Preparation
- 1
Season the Brisket
Rub the beef brisket with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and liquid smoke. Make sure the brisket is evenly coated with the seasoning.
- 2
Slow Cook the Brisket
Place the seasoned brisket into a slow cooker. Pour in the beef broth and cover. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or until the brisket is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- 3
Shred the Brisket
Once cooked, remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes. Shred the brisket using two forks and mix it with the BBQ sauce in a bowl.
Sandwich Assembly
- 4
Toast the Buns
While the brisket is resting, toast the buns in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.
- 5
Assemble the Sandwiches
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a generous portion of the shredded brisket mixed with BBQ sauce. Top with pickles and coleslaw if desired, then place the top half of the bun over the fillings.
Fries Preparation
- 6
Prepare the Fries
Cook the frozen French fries according to package instructions until they are crispy and golden brown. Season with salt to taste before serving.
