Method

Chocolate Cake

  1. 1

    Prepare the Oven and Pans

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine and Add Boiling Water

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Slowly stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.

  5. 5

    Bake the Cakes

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow cakes to cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Chocolate Buttercream

  1. 6

    Beat the Butter

In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter on medium speed until creamy and smooth.

  2. 7

    Add Ingredients

Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, mixing on low speed until combined. Add the heavy cream and vanilla extract, then beat on high speed for 2-3 minutes until fluffy.

    Beat the Butter

In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter on medium speed until creamy.

  2. 9

    Add Ingredients

Gradually incorporate the powdered sugar, mixing on low until combined. Add the marshmallow fluff, vanilla extract, and heavy cream, beating on high speed for 2-3 minutes until fluffy.

Graham Cracker Crumble

  1. 10

    Prepare the Crumble

In a medium bowl, crush graham crackers into fine crumbs. Add melted unsalted butter and granulated sugar, mixing until combined.

  2. 11

    Bake the Crumble

Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool.

Toasted Marshmallow Gelato

  1. 12

    Heat Milk and Cream

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine whole milk, heavy cream, and granulated sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved, then remove from heat.

  2. 13

    Add Vanilla

    Stir in the vanilla extract.

  3. 14

    Toast the Marshmallows

On a baking sheet, spread mini marshmallows in a single layer and broil them in the oven until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes, watching closely.

  4. 15

    Combine and Chill

Add toasted marshmallows to the milk mixture, blend until smooth, and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

  5. 16

    Churn and Freeze

Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until thickened. Freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
