Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all ingredients and ensure the salmon fillets are thawed and patted dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Salmon

Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over both sides of the salmon fillets.

  3. 3

    Mince the Garlic

Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Lemon

Cut the lemon in half. Squeeze the juice from one half and slice the other half into wedges for garnish.

  5. 5

    Chop the Parsley

Finely chop the fresh parsley and set aside for garnish.

Cooking

  1. 6

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering but not smoking.

  2. 7

    Sear the Salmon

Carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets skin-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes without moving them.

  3. 8

    Add Garlic

After 4-5 minutes, flip the salmon fillets and add the minced garlic to the pan. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 9

    Finish with Lemon

Drizzle the lemon juice over the salmon fillets and give them a final cook for 1 minute.

  5. 10

    Serve

Remove the salmon from the skillet and transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges.
