Method

Prepare the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea Bags

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Let them steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, remove the tea bags and discard them.

Sweeten the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If desired, stir in 1 cup of sugar or 0.5 cup of honey while the tea is still warm. Stir until fully dissolved.

Flavor the Tea

  1. 5

    Add Flavorings

If you want to add flavor, stir in 0.5 cup of lemon juice and add 10 mint leaves. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

Serve the Tea

  1. 6

    Prepare Serving Glasses

Fill glasses with ice cubes (about 2 cups per glass).

  2. 7

    Pour Tea

Pour the cooled tea over the ice cubes in each glass.

  3. 8

    Garnish

Garnish with lemon slices and additional mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.
