Method

Preparing the Croutons

  1. 1

    Making Garlic Croutons

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the baguette into small cubes (about 1-inch each).

  2. 2

In a bowl, combine the bread cubes, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat the bread evenly.

  3. 3

Spread the bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy, stirring halfway through to ensure even cooking.

  4. 4

Remove from the oven and let cool.

Preparing the Dressing

  1. 5

    Making the Dressing

In a small bowl, finely mince the garlic clove. Add lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and olive oil.

  2. 6

Whisk together until fully combined. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Assembling the Salad

  1. 7

    Assembling the Caesar Salad

In a large bowl, tear the Romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and add it to the bowl.

  2. 8

If using, add the anchovy fillets to the lettuce.

  3. 9

Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat the lettuce evenly.

  4. 10

Add the roasted garlic croutons and sprinkle the Parmesan cheese on top.

  5. 11

Serve immediately and enjoy your classic Caesar salad!
