Chicken Wings

Method

Preparing Chicken Wings

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Wings

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss the chicken wings in the flour mixture until they are evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Fry the Wings

Carefully place the coated chicken wings into the hot oil in batches, frying for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Making Buffalo Sauce

  1. 5

    Melt the Butter

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.

  2. 6

    Combine Ingredients

Once the butter is melted, add in the hot sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

  3. 7

    Simmer the Sauce

Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Adjust the salt to taste.

Tossing and Serving

  1. 8

    Toss Wings in Sauce

In a large mixing bowl, combine the fried chicken wings with the buffalo sauce, tossing to coat the wings evenly.

  2. 9

    Serve

Serve the buffalo wings hot with celery sticks and blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping.
