Preparing the Turkey

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Pat the turkey dry with paper towels and rub olive oil all over it. Season generously with salt, black pepper, and minced garlic. Stuff the cavity with onion, carrots, celery, and sprigs of rosemary and thyme.

Roasting the Turkey

Place the turkey breast-side up in a roasting pan. Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan. Roast in the preheated oven for about 3 to 4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste the turkey every 30 minutes with the broth.

Making Mashed Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes, then boil them in salted water until tender. Drain and mash them with butter and milk until creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Preparing Green Beans

Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Drain and toss with toasted almonds and a bit of olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Serving Pumpkin Pie

Slice the pumpkin pie and serve with a dollop of whipped cream on top.
