Bitters Preparation

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a clean glass jar, combine fennel seeds, dried orange peel, cinnamon stick, cloves, and sliced vanilla bean.

  2. 2

    Add Alcohol

Pour the high-proof alcohol over the mixture, ensuring all spices are submerged.

  3. 3

    Infusion Period

Seal the jar tightly and place it in a cool, dark place. Let it infuse for at least 2 weeks, shaking gently every few days.

  4. 4

After 2 weeks, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean bottle. Discard the solids.

  5. 5
