Method

Preparation of Balsamic Reduction

  1. 1

    Make the Balsamic Reduction

In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.

  2. 2

    Reduce the Sauce

Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon, about 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Preparing the Salad

  1. 3

    Slice the Heirloom Tomatoes

While the balsamic reduction is cooling, wash and slice the heirloom tomatoes into thick wedges. Arrange them on a serving platter.

  2. 4

    Add the Burrata

Carefully place the burrata cheese in the center of the sliced tomatoes.

  3. 5

    Add Basil and Seasoning

Tear fresh basil leaves and scatter them over the tomatoes and burrata. Drizzle olive oil on top and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Finishing Touches

  1. 6

    Drizzle with Balsamic Reduction

Finally, drizzle the cooled balsamic reduction over the entire dish, ensuring even coverage.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately as a fresh appetizer or side dish.
