Cajun Gulf Oysters
Method
Preparation Instructions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2
Prepare the Oysters
Carefully shuck the Gulf oysters and place them on a baking sheet. Ensure they are stable and do not tip over.
- 3
Make the Tabasco Butter Sauce
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, stir in the Tabasco sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.
- 4
Assemble the Oysters
Drizzle the Tabasco butter sauce over each oyster, ensuring they are generously coated.
- 5
Add Cheese and Breadcrumbs
Sprinkle the shredded white cheddar cheese evenly over the oysters, followed by a layer of toasted breadcrumbs.
- 6
Bake the Oysters
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
- 7
Garnish and Serve
Remove the oysters from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
