Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Caramelize the Onions

In a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sear the Beef

In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Season the beef tenderloin tips with salt and black pepper. Once the oil is hot, add the beef and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Cook until the mushrooms are browned and have released their moisture, about 5-7 minutes. Season with a bit of salt and pepper.

  4. 4

    Combine and Simmer

Add the caramelized onions and beef broth or jus back into the skillet with the mushrooms. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Return the seared beef tenderloin tips to the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Serve

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your Tenderloin Tips & Mushrooms!
