Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour to make a roux and cook for about 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese and Season

Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the smoked cheddar cheese until melted. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  4. 4

    Combine Pasta and Cheese Sauce

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked penne pasta with the cheese sauce. Mix well until the pasta is evenly coated.

  5. 5

    Prepare for Baking

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle cracker crumbs evenly on top.

  6. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your House Specialty Mac & Cheese!
