Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill the Glass

Before making your martini, chill your cocktail glass by filling it with ice water and setting it aside.

  2. 2

    Mix the Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of Italian Vodka or Italian Gin and 1 oz of 1757 Vermouth. If you prefer a dirty martini, add 0.5 oz of olive brine.

  3. 3

    Shake or Stir

Fill the shaker with ice and either shake vigorously for about 15 seconds or stir gently for about 30 seconds, depending on your preferred method.

  4. 4

    Strain into the Glass

Empty the ice water from your chilled cocktail glass. Using a strainer, pour the mixed ingredients from the shaker into the glass.

  5. 5

    Garnish

Garnish your martini by adding two olives on a skewer and placing them in the drink. Finish with a twist of lemon by expressing the oils over the drink and placing the peel in the glass.
